When you look at this room don’t you feel happy?

The room belongs to a beautiful (and happy!) young teen girl who’s got lots of flair.  I worked with her to help make this room reflect her personality while being mindful of her family’s budget.

One of her favorite colors is hot pink so we decided to use that for the main accents.  If she gets tired of it down the road it will be very easy to change the curtains and repaint the accent wall.

The capiz shell chandelier adds a little glamour while reminding her of vacations at the beach.

Instead of matching night tables we put a desk on one side which, with a mirror above it, can be used for doing her hair and make up.  Her jewellery, within easy reach on her desk, also accessorizes her room.

Across from her bed, a picture ledge displays art she has created over the years.

Working with her love of quotations we came up with a quick and easy DIY project.  Inspiring quotes were printed on brightly colored paper and placed in simple frames on her wall.
Bringing in the mannequin was the perfect way to give a nod to her love for fashion.   It’s also another great place to display her necklaces.

All of the major pieces in the room are neutral and so as her tastes change, so can the room. She’s so happy with it though, that she says it won’t be changing any time soon!
