It’s finally May, my favorite month and the start of the sweetest stretch of the year for me. At this point in the year, I am captivated by both the freshness of Spring and the promise of beautiful Summer days to come.
These are the days when I can seriously begin to think about lounging outside, however, this amazing piece of outdoor furniture (designed by Youssef Hasbani of L’Atelier) has been on my mind ever since I laid eyes on it, way back in January at the Interior Design Show. From that day on, whenever I have pictured my dream garden there has definitely been one of these included…
It’s a large-scale sculpture of a piece of fruit, of all things! With a cosy core for adults and kids alike, is there anything else in the world so simultaneously cute and chic?
I love the thought of placing this under the shade of an old leafy tree and curling up in the cushions with a good book on a sunny afternoon.
You can also see how it’s perfectly suited for sultry summer evenings too. Surrounded by lanterns filled with candlelight and even a suspended bell jar lantern above, how can you not cuddle with your honey at twilight and enjoy?
(p.s. If you enjoyed this post, you may also appreciate reading about other outdoor furniture in Crossing My Fingers for the Groundhog).
